Second for Four Seasons in Istanbul

From the ridiculous to the sublime perhaps, converting a palace after a prison but Four Seasons, the Canadian based luxury hotel group, is creating a second hotel in Istanbul. The first is in the midst of the tourist clamour by the famous Blue Mosque, the second on the European banks of the Bosporus adjacent to the Kempinski.

Istanbul is a bustling metropolis of some 12.5 million people and is becoming a major business centre at the crossroads between Europe and Asia, between the Muslim world and the Christian, between the Black Sea states and the Mediterranean. With absolutely bonkers traffic problems and an amazing cultural mix it has become a hotel boom town, providing much work for hotel specialist, especially the local practice of the Metex Design Group.

Already responsible for the first Four Seasons, the Ritz Carlton and the Mövenpick amongst others, this busy interior design specialist is now working on the new Four Seasons Bosporus, which is some 12 to 18 months away from completion.
