Second Property in Kuwait

Hilton Hotels Corporation has announced the signing of its newest property, the Hilton Olympia Kuwait, part of a landmark development to house the new Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) headquarters. Due to open in the second half of 2008, the hotel will become Hiltonís second in Kuwait, and is a highly anticipated addition to the leading hotel brandís portfolio of 14 established properties in the Arabian Peninsula.

The twin tower, multi-purpose project exhibits a unique and cutting-edge architectural design, positioning it high on the Kuwait skyline. One tower will house offices, while the other will stand as a Hilton hotel, linked together by an enclosed walkway.

Located on the Gulf Road in the heart of Salmiya, Kuwaitís largest and most prime locale, the hotel will open with 200 guest rooms, each occupying a floor space of 45 square metres, and 70 apartments.

The hotelís facilities include two restaurants, meeting and conference rooms, a business centre, a multi-purpose function room measuring 1,600 square metres, a swimming pool and a health club with a cafť and shop. Parking, storage and additional service requirements will be provided.

The property will complement Kuwaitís existing Hilton property, the 367-room Hilton Kuwait Resort, a Worldwide Resort with its own 2km stretch of private beach and banqueting facilities for 1,000 people.
