Victoria Mills is a 19th Century former woollen mill situated within the buffer zone of the Saltaire World Heritage Site in Shipley. This 5.5 acre site, which is being developed by Newmason Properties, cleverly combines the Victorian magnificence of the old mill building with the very best in contemporary interior design, and then seamlessly fuses the style of the Victorian architecture and its historic foundations with three new build contemporary apartment blocks. Offering an unrivalled flavour of modernity, the new build apartment blocks feature modern materials such as steel, glass and concrete structures. This inspirational blend of old and new will provide over 200 luxury apartments which are designed to cater for the more discerning purchaser.

According to Tim Harper, the Project Director for Victoria Mills, “I chose the Hartland plate for its practicality, as its slim face plate with its non shiny, satin stainless steel finish, provided us with a hardwearing and high quality solution which was ideal for the environment in which it is being used.”

The use of grid fix capability has proved to be particularly popular in the kitchen installations as it has been used to create power centres that feature switches for various pieces of kitchen equipment including; dishwashers, fridges, and extract fans. For quick identification the rocker switches have incorporate printed names or symbols.
“The availability of a suite of products, that enables the cover plates to be matched across the whole scheme whilst, at the same time being able to choose whether to use the less expensive box fix items in some locations, with grid fix in another, helps to reduce the cost of the project without sacrificing the overall aesthetic appeal”, said John, “This versatile approach to wiring accessories provides excellent value for money, helping both developers and electrical contractors to meet the market’s growing demand for greater product sophistication, whilst ensuring that design styling remains intact.”
