Microtel Inn & Suites Debuts in Florida

Area’s First ‘Green’ Hotel

A Microtel Inn & Suites hotel has opened at 4056 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte, FL. One of the first hotels to open in the area since the devastation of Hurricane Charley in 2004, it is also the area’s first “Green” hotel, implementing programs and practices to protect and conserve Florida’s natural resources and the environment. The Port Charlotte Microtel is owned by Village Port, LLC and Dr. Mark O. Asperilla – a well-known physician and resident of Port Charlotte since 1989 – and managed by SKY Hospitality of Palm Harbor, FL. Microtel is the Atlanta-based award-winning chain of all-new construction, interior corridor economy/limited service hotels.
