A 73-room Microtel Inn & Suites hotel has opened at 136 North Comrie Avenue in the historic city of Johnstown, New York, off Route 30A and the New York State Thruway (I-90) at exit 28. Located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, the property is close to area business centers and restaurants, in addition to numerous walking trails, golf courses, lakes, canoe routes, skiing and snowmobiling.
The new hotel showcases the Microtel brand’s award-winning new prototype design, and boasts a contemporary and streamlined environment with unexpected amenities that guests would not ordinarily expect to find in an economy hotel. It is owned by DHC of Johnstown LLC, of Saratoga Springs, NY.
The three-story Johnstown Microtel Inn & Suites offers single, double and suite accommodations. With its new design, the hotel’s color palette known as “Nature” uses natural elements that are both refreshing and tranquil to create a comfortable, inviting atmosphere and consistent theme throughout. All guestrooms feature flat-panel televisions with expanded cable, sleek granite countertops, and desk units with easily accessible power and data ports. Suites are equipped with Microtel’s signature MicroKitchen™ and divided into four “zones” with space to work, eat, sleep and relax.
The hotel also features the stylish Dream Well™ Microtel bedding with plush pillow-top mattress and fitted bed skirt, high quality 200-thread count white linens with triple sheeting, down-like blanket and extra pillows. Guests enjoy free local and free long distance phone calls anywhere within the continental U.S. and free WIFI in all guestrooms; Microtel’s new complimentary Get Up and Joe™ continental daily breakfast; 24-hour complimentary coffee in the lobby; fitness center; business center with fax and copy services, and meeting room.
ALL Microtel hotels are newly constructed from the ground up, taking 6 to 9 months to build on average.
